In Reply To: If some one is coming in as a experienced hire, I want to get a feel of work culture in ACN. 1. How is the peer mentoring and team work ethic(i know this is too general a question). 2. How is the perception about the firm, after working there about 3-4 years. Do you have better track on getting onto other challening positions at competitors. 3. Are pay raises based on true meritocracy(also considering standard timeframes) 4. How it feels to be travelling 100% of the time, having a family with kids back in the home base. 5. last but not least, how much monetary difference(or saving) some one make out of miles and the per-diems? Any inputs or thoughts are appreciated.
Message: 1. How is the peer mentoring and team work ethic(i know this is too general a question). This is highly dependent on the indivudals in your projects and how experienced you are. If you are coming from a big industry company, the work ethic will be more demanding and the mentoring will be more critical and frequent, which is not always a good thing. 2. How is the perception about the firm, after working there about 3-4 years. Do you have better track on getting onto other challening positions at competitors. Depends on your level and the work that you do. 3. Are pay raises based on true meritocracy(also considering standard timeframes) No such thing as true meritocracy. Pay raises are determined by your rank among your peers. 4. How it feels to be travelling 100% of the time, having a family with kids back in the home base. Do you like being at home with your kids? No, then you will like the travelling. Yes, you'll hate it. Overall, for most people the travelling stinks. 5. last but not least, how much monetary difference(or saving) some one make out of miles and the per-diems? If you travel every week for an entire year and you work the system you can add about $20k gross. If you go by the book, $6-7k gross. Any inputs or thoughts are appreciated.
