...when I worked on the internship scheme, most people got offers unless they did something really dumb.
I do remember one of the females not getting an offer basically because she slept with three or four different guys on her project. Another guy turned out to be a mishire - hugely academically bright, but totally clueless.
Other than that, most people I remember got offers. Take this with a pinch of salt though, as this was quite a while back.
