I have 10 years experience with SAP/Oracle, various technical certifications, a bachelors degree in computer engineering, an MBA and have been given an offer for the highest consultant level at $95,000.
How does this compare to other offers that you know of? Wondering if I should negotiate or not. Thanks! |

If you really have 10 years experience, do NOT take the highest consultant level. Unless you are kind of incompetent. Are you? It is ok if you are not very good at your job and are out for more money. But if you consider yourself a sharp professional you should take nothing less than a manager slot. Consider it this way, your average ACN manager will have half your experience. Heck, I was hired with about 7 years experience as a senior manager, albeit with consultling experience. The pay sounds good, though, but can you deal with children managing you?
