In Reply To: how many levels are there for consultants. Is a C3 the highest level before management? Also, what is the M level for - is that strictly management? thanks.
Message: C1 is a new or first year Consultant. C2, C3 simply tell people how many years you have been at that level. Consulting workforce is still 'up or out'. You don't see many C5s out there if any. C3s are considered for promotion to Manager. M3s are considered for promotion to Senior Manager. After Snr Manager, people still use the M4/M5/M6 to refer to the person's level of expereince. The use still hangs around because up through a few years ago Senior Manager was not an official promotion point. Any M4 or above was considered an Experienced or Senior Manager.
