dc is very expensive if you decide to live alone (think about 1100+ for rent alone).
If you get roommates and up paying about 650 or so (rent+utilities) then you should do fine. |

Another option of cheaper housing is to rent an apt in somebody's house. There are lots of such apts with seperate entrances in DC metro area. I used to pay $275 for a basement apt a few years ago.
