Well I'm not going to lie on my other offers, but that is an interesting question - Will they actually check and how? by calling the other company? sounds so outlandish, but who knows right?
I do have one other offer a little bit higher, but not exactly the same requirements/career. ACN does require more travel than my other offer, so maybe with that I could say the salary should be higher from that??

I would advice you to think of your long term career goals (and also life style - mainly travel). If you accept the Accenture offer and you stay with them for 10-15 years and if they continue growing as they have been, you will be a senior manager or even senior executive after 10-15 years (of course, you have to keep on performing). I am starting recently and have seen this kind of career growth at Accenture.
Now, you will be traveling all these years, and if you are comfortable with that lifestyle, you can try to negotiate but be ready to take the Accenture offer - in case they do not negotiate.
They are not going to check on the other offer (as long as you don't tell them company name, recruiter name and his phone number)!
If you are not comfortable with travel, etc. other offer sounds good.
