Basically, the previous post is right.
If you want to work as an engineer (civil, chemical, mechanical, industrial, electrical, etc.), then get a job in engineering. You obviously got a lot of interest, since u got a Masters.
If you want to work as an IT analyst or work in strategy (graduated from Ivy league school), then join accenture. Accenture won't care that you have a masters and you 'might' start out with 6 months experience due to your advanced degree, but nothing much.
So, you need to make a decision. what is it that you enjoy? that should answer your question. |

Hi,
I have the same choice!
However, in the UK it is a bit different - Accenture have a professional scheme over here so I can become a Chartered Engineer (UK professional engineer) in IT and Software.
To develop technical expertise I targetted the "GTC" division in accenture. This is a specialist technical unit, where you work across all industries - maybe it is for you?
I also had some very good engineering offers, but I decided that 9 to 5 was too depressing: I learnt this through an internship in engineering. Ever since that experience I have thought "there has to be another way".
Remember - Accenture traget Engineering majors in their grad recruitment: you are appealing to them. You would be likely to succeed in the company due to your analytical brain - whether or not you are using it in engineering or business process analysis.
Join me - go Consulting with your Eng Masters!!!
