In Reply To: is there a mandatory attire in the UK? Is it business formal (i.e. suit) or business casual (dress shirt, dress pants, no tie) or is it determined by the client? in the US it's mostly business casual but really determined by the client's cutlure - for example I think in FS business formal is the norm.
Message: In nearly all cases you would pretty much match the client. Jeans, t-shirts and trainers if you are in a trendy media company, starchy suit and tie if you're at an old-school bank. If you're based in the office, somewhere in between.
