Did you receive your verbal offer from recruiter or from any of the hiring managers?
Thx |

I got verbal offer and agreed to it in 2nd week of January. Then I was told I must wait for the letter since "we are working through this new complex HR system, but don't worry you are locked in for Feb 20". Then he (recruiter) calls me 2 weeks later that in order to hire me, they need a release from my employer since the non-compete is vague. My employer took a week to get it. After all this was said and done (last Thursday), he faxed me a offer letter (he did not even sign it - but that is OK). I gave my employer and client 2 week notice based on that fax letter. I should receive the written offer this week (may be even today).
Now meanwhile, feeling little uneasy, I was keeping my options open. I get a call from another consulting firm on Monday (mid size specialty firm) and they want to interview me this Friday. So I think I should go ahead interview and see what they have to say (especially since they are talking 30% more money)...
stopnik says to go ahead with the other company (if I get the offer). I was thinking Accenture is one of the best firm and would have their act together (if they want to attract new workers). I guess grass is always greener on the other side...
Thanks for everyone's support. Will let you know how the Friday's interview goes.,
