In Reply To: I will be working at the Reston office and was wondering whether it would be best to live IN DC and drive through the city to client locations, or live OUT of DC (in a neighboring city in VA) and drive into the city for client locations? Which would be more traffic/bothersome?
Message: Stay out of Fairfax county. Hellish traffic, $100 cab rides on the weekends, overcrowded shopping centers, etc. Arlington has the lowest taxes, most parks, more diversity, an airport that is actually close by, and is 5 mins from the city. If you are in the Govt. OG then you will probably be working in Arlington or in DC anyway, save yourself an hour every morning and just live there! If not, then they airport is a $15 dollar cab ride away, and there is tons of stuff to do on the weekends right at your footsteps. If you must go into the office, it is about 30-45 mins away depending on the traffic.
