ACN SITE -- most exclusive within ACN? |

Follow my logic here: within ACN consulting, strategy is considered more exclusive than BSIC or techonolgy advisory. Now, I know, most strategy practices at ACN should be placed with an asterisk next to it. However, one would think
since IT is ACN's bread and butter, ACN's IT Strategy practice (SIIE) is legit.
I've followed this board for a long time and all I've found is nothing but great reviews about this practice -- I have yet to find one msg knocking SITE.
So, is it really true that, 1)ACN's SITE has a great reputation and is first class amongst its IT strategy competitors?
and, 2)wouldn't that make SITE the most exclusive practice within ACN and one of its only legit strategy practice?

I think you're really asking about competitive advantage and not exclusivity.
It appears Accenture has two areas that really make the company standout from everyone else
1) SITE
2) Structuring outsourcing deals
SITE's only real competition in this space is IBM. McK is trying to build into this area, but with limited knowledge on implementation and almost no IT management work, they're having trouble.
I think the balance of the strat practice looks more like M/B/B than you realize. McK not growing in pure strat work, they growth is in operations strategy. There's going to be a lot of work in post-merger integration over the next 5 years and I think ACN's strat is in a good position to win a lot of that worl. But it would be hard to call it a premire player. Legit yes, market leader, no.
While many, many companies do outsroucing deals, ACN is the leader on innovative structures (Equity stakes, risk sharing etc.). Since the goal of an outsourcing deal is to increase returns to shareholders, offering financial flexibility has a lot of value to the counterparty.
