I started last year at 46k with a 2k signing bonus and 2k moving expenses. I know a lot of people who did not get either bonus and started below 50k. I am a management major and female (which does seem to matter, though it definately should not).
I don't think the norm is 50-55k, more like 45-53k with only male engineers at the top. |

I also think salaries are higher this year than they have been the past 2 years.
