I need advice with an incident that occurred this morning. While backing out of a parking lot I accidentally hit an illegally parked car causing a dent. My AVIS rental is insured under the corporate agreement and through my American Express card. I did not leave any contact information on the other car. If reported, will the damages to the other car be covered by my insurance? Does anyone know the proper procedure I should follow to submit a claim? How will I be affected by this incident? |

btw: For leaving the scene and not leaving contact information you'll likely lose all coverage.
In most countries, you'd also lose your license and face a jail term of up to 6 months or a fine a 3 to 6 months net pay on top of the damage to both cars.
