Was it really that serious? Why do you let people's responses upset you or work you up to that level? If I feel someone adds something I feel is 'silly', I ignore and move on because I usually dont have the time to respond with such emotion.
And people don't post things on here because they think others 'care', they post for some real input- which is what I got out of you.
But anyway.. Thank you, your lengthy and indepth response did help. I should be okay on my background check. |

Why do they wait 2 weeks before the start date (to do background and/or other checks)? I know that both of us have nothing to worry about in the background check but I don't think I will feel 100% comfortable giving my current employer 2-3 weeks notice when there is a contingency on the new offer from Accenture...
In case something unforseen happens (like losing major contracts which they were looking to hire you/me for), they can always take the offer away and blame it on some stupid contingency like the background check.
I think they SHOULD commit 100% and only give offer letter after most if not all of the checks are done...
