In Reply To: What is it like working for (government) clients in DC?
Message: It depends (just like everything else around). The government market unit in DC is large enough that there is an extremely large spectrum of experiences. I worked in Products and Resources (based out of the Resources MU) before transferring to DC and Government. I had some projects that were 40-50 hours a week and some that were much more. The same is pretty much true in DC/government. My current project is 40-50 hours/week except when a deliverable is closing in, then it can be 40 hours/week or it could be 80 hours/week. There are other projects going on at my client (one of the larger government clients) that are constantly working long hours, while there are also some that are constantly working basically the 40-50 hour week. Other clients are much the same to my knowledge... It basically depends on how behind schedule you are :-) I don't know of any (which isn't to say there aren't any, just that I don't know about them) projects that match the "government schedule" and work strictly 40 hours per week. Does that answer what you were trying to get at?
