I have been made an offer for a Sr. Consultant (Band 8) at IBM BCS. Is this better than Accenture Sr. Consultant - what be the equivalent for this band at Accenture.
Any input will be really appreciated.

Hi,
The most important thing you should ask HR is what level of consultant will you be hired at. Accenture has 3 consultant levels, C1, C2 and C3. I believe, with your experience and your MBA, that you are hired as a C3. Which means that in a year you will be promoted to manager. If you are hired at C2 or less, don't accept the offer.
I actually suggest that you try other consulting firms who value your MBA. Accenture doesn't quite value outside experience. Normally with 7.5 years exp and an MBA you should start at least as a manager, but accenture usually halves your experience (3-4 years) which would make you a C3.
I don't know how IBM hires.
