Topic Name: IBM BCS Sr. Consultant or Accenture Sr. Consultant
Message Name: ACN does offer training

In Reply To: Accenture titles are very inflated. They use words like "manager" and "exec" etc. for levels that are not managers and, about, 4 promotions away from executive levels. People with only 5 or 6 years of experience get titles like Senior Consultant or Manager. There is no correspondence between the sound of these titles and the actual career level of the jobs. On another topic you raised, if you have a choice to go to IBM over ACN, you really should take it, especially if you are going into the data architecture or business intelligence area. They are the tops there. You will find IBM as big and bureacratic as ACN or any other large company and you can as easily get lost there as here. But it's a more respected company that respects your experience and skills. You can get training there, too, which is something ACN doesn't offer.
Message: ACN has a significant budget for training. I don't know about IBM, but ACN offers up to 6000$ worth training per year per consultant.
