I was hired into the Government OG as an experienced consultant with 24 months of exp in Dec. My background though has been more communications & technology related.
However at my first gig I find myself doing analyst level work and not to mention, I am working on technologies that really do not fit my background, skills or profile.
I think my skills and experience could be leveraged better in a different Operating group. How difficult is it to switch to a different group? Who would I need to talk to and how would one approach this topic?
How much time should I let pass before broaching this subject with my Career Counsellor or HR?
Any input would be appreciated.

What type of experience do you have? meaning software engineering? Network administration? etc? Furthermore what office are you in? These details will make it easier for me to give you an answer
