I'd probably be worried, though possibly not for the reason you think. I've heard of a number of cases "slipping through the cracks". It's unfortunate, but it happens from time to time. If they said it would be minimum 2 weeks to hear something, I think 5 weeks is plenty of time to give them before getting in touch (I probably would have after 3, or at the least 4).
If you have some sort of contact number/email I'd get in touch and ask how the process is going and explain that you had expected to hear something by now. You may or may not get any answers, but you need to make sure you haven't been accidently forgotten (or even your offer lost in the mail, etc.). |

I had a similiar situation where I interviewed at the beggining of December and did not hear back from them until last Friday. This was because my recruiter had made generous use of her vacation days and was gone for two or three of those weeks. She did try to contact me in mid december, but when I called back two hours later (and then the next day and day after) she was not there.
In conclusion, a lot of people are taking time of at this time of year, so things may be slowed down. Calling and emailing your recruiter will help with this.
