In Reply To: Hi, I'm looking at applying to ACN in London for a position in the "strategic IT effectivness" (SITE) group. I've been told by a recruitment consultant that as a senior consultant I can expect a salary of ??50-60.000. According to him, a snr consultant at ACN is a project manager responsible for between 5-20 consultants. Is this salary range and job description true?? What are the different levels at ACN (incl. responsibilty) and what are the salary ranges? Any thoughts on SITE? Is it worth applying to? Thanks in advance for any help in answering these questions!!!
Message: Whether you are in strategy, SITE or any other part of the firm the salary ranges and levels are the same. And what your recruitment consultant told you sounds right. SITE is a good area to work in - lots of international travel and they are selling alot of work right now. Despite what someone else here has said, the salary ranges are very fixed and they are stuck to in the UK. So a senior consultant will get ??55k plus of minus a bit (a grand or two) based on performance in the interview process. The onyl real scope for negotiation is your level (though you'll need the experience to back that up) and a sign on bonus. Note that MBA recruits get ??11k siging on bonus towards their MBA costs but this is exceptional - not the norm.
