Depends. Accenture is growing and is probably the best firm in its space. Listening to quarterly results right now. Beat all analyst expectations and the pipeline growth is big.
At the same time PE could be very financially rewarding. It all up to whether or not you enjoy what you do now and/or if you just want a change after 9 years.
I miy mind you can't loose if you stay and esp if you get promoted to SE by 2007. One can always make a move to PE and you become more attractive once you make Senior Ececutive.
That said if the right PE opportunity comes by that fits your lifestyle and work demands go for it. |

If I was you, I would wait until Sep 06 to see if you make the senior exec. If you don't get the promotion, than I would recommend you to leave for PE.
If you can get a partnership at Private Equity without making an investment for bringing in your expertise than you should even consider leaving now.
Just curious, what was the bonus for Sr Mgr last year and also for Mgr last year? I am asking because I am looking to join ACN. Also what are the typical annual raises at Manager levels (especially last 2 years)?
