All excellent points, but remember that if the client is 'off,' then you must find a charge number to hit during that down time. Sure, there's no work to do... but you have to allocate your hours to something, whether it be vacation/PTO or training. No free lunch, and all that.
...Just a warning to new employees or recruits who believe that a banking or manufacturing client would be the sweetest gig ever. |

Is it true that most government clients (in the DC area) are very laid back? I heard that they come to work later, leave early (like by 5-5:30pm), wear business casual, no stress, etc.
