In Reply To: Is there a difference in pay working in outside sales with "Major Accts" vrs "Small Business Accts"? Anyone with information about working environment... in sales "Southern California"
Message: I don't think working in California doesn't mean that much, you're still inundated with the company's culture. But honestly, no matter where you are located, your quality of life has a good deal to do with the values/mentality of your manager and his/her manager. Insofar as the majors/sbs thing, sbs is VERY similar to TS. Just look at the job requirements for both positions. Since SBS is for companies with under 100 employees and Majors is for those with under 1000, you will make FAR MORE $$$ in commissions in majors than SBS or TS. Nationals is touch and go because even though the division generates the most revenue, the closing process is much, much longer, so it's hard on the sales folks, especially if a deal falls through. I went from TS to Majors, but have friends in Nationals and I truly belief Majors is the most lucrative. Hope this helps :-)
