In Reply To: You mean to tell me you read all of these postings, had offers from other places and you took the ABN job. You also said you were an analyst. Did you ask to see the trading floor or what is left of it,I guess not. It sounds like you'll fit right in. Good luck kid, you made a bad choice.
Message: I was a bit apprehensive, but the person in HR is a school friend and assured me that there was restructuring going on and yes, some smoothing out to do, but it would not effect me so much at the analyst level. I did read all the postings and thought that the people that were going to write on this had to feel pretty passionate one way or the other about something in order to take the time and write on here, so I didn't take the postings as being indicative as the overall feeling at ABN. I turned down the other offers because I didn't want a buldge bracket and that's where most of the offers were from, excluding DrKw. In addition, I get to rotate through Sales and Trading and banking and no other bank has that program. ABN has a really good Cornell presense, where I go to school, and after speaking with the alumni on the sell day I felt it was the best fit for me. I'd be curious to know why you hate it there so much. Thanks for your comments. Jess
