I spent 3months in sao paulo in 2004. If I compare it with a regular friday night out on town in stockholm, sao paulo seemed much less violent. I didn't dee any fights or disturbances. everyone seemed quite cool. and I didn??t have any problems, not even once. I know it's stupid, but I could move freely in down town night time. Maybe because I'm black.
