Founded in 1968, Royal Caribbean Cruises is the world's second largest cruise company with a fleet of 29 ships and a capacity of 60,590 passengers. By 2008, the company plans to grow its convoy to 32 ships and a capacity of 70,402. The additional vessels belong to a new category of cruise liner called the Freedom class. With the ability to hold 3,600 guests, the first of the Freedom crafts will be the world's largest cruise ship when it arrives in 2006.
