Position Title: Senior Production Associate
Vault.com????the most trusted name in career information????is seeking a Senior front-end web developer with 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining commercial websites and web-based applications.
The applicant will be responsible for front-end development and production through all phases of our web development lifecycle. The position calls for close collaboration with Java developers, web designers, content providers and product managers. Applicants must possess a great eye for aesthetics and a passion for usability, coupled with a strong background in web technologies including integration with back-end database platforms.
Responsibilities:
???? Develop and optimize intuitive and professional user interfaces utilizing CSS, HTML, XHTML, JavaScript and JSP/JSF. ColdFusion knowledge is a plus.
???? Ensure cross-browser compatibility and usability.
???? Reduce page load times using CSS and other front-end technologies.
???? Develop reusable front-end interface elements and production templates.
???? Implement and propose meta-tags and other server-side scripts to enhance search engine optimization.
???? Partner with engineering to ensure that the codebase is flexible and scalable.
???? Collaborate with product managers, designers and content providers to continually refine the user experience.
???? Maintain a tight working relationship with other members of the development team to ensure that all aspects of the front- and back-end of the website are thoroughly understood.
???? Develop rapid prototypes and proofs-of-concept for usability tests.
Qualifications:
???? 5+ years of commercial web development experience
???? CSS, HTML/XHTML, JavaScript
???? JSP/JSF and calls to servlets/classes
???? ColdFusion and web design experience a plus
???? W3C DOM methods and properties
???? Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
???? Excellent communication skills
???? Motivated self-starter who will take the initiative to identify and communicate problems and dependencies within code
???? Ability to remain flexible in a dynamic environment????must be comfortable working for a fast-paced company. You will have the opportunity to really contribute to the end product.
