Software Engineer - Market Data
Pipeline Trading Systems(www.pipelinetrading.com) is a rapidly growing electronic marketplace for large block institutional equities trading.
We are seeking a software engineer to be design, develop, and maintain the market data system within the Pipeline Trading network. This person will be developing new market data feeds components, maintaining existing market data applications (Level 1 and depth of book) and developing user interfaces to aid with configuration of the Trading System. This position includes support for the market data API for an algorithmic trading platform as well. There is the potential that you will also be involved in rolling out a new tickdb system.
This position involves development of systems using real time market data and is a critical component of the trading system. You will have the opportunity to learn about the US equities market and play a critical role in the supply of market information to our system.

Qualifications
- Extensive background developing C++ applications in a UNIX / LINUX environment.
- Some knowledge of Market Data, Design patterns, Enterprise integration patterns, Multi-threading concepts, High availability transactional systems.
- Financial Services experience desirable but not essential.
Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelors or Masters (Preferably computer science related degree).
- Candidates must be organized, self-motivated, inquisitive, problem-solvers with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates must have a good understanding of configuration management, change management, testing procedures and be able to work to strict deadlines.
