Our client, a major insurance company, is seeking an experienced, well-rounded Senior Director of Compliance to oversee the Privacy Compliance Program. The Privacy Officer is responsible for; Developing, implementing and administering the privacy compliance Program which covers all aspects of customer and employee data confidentiality and cross-border data protection; providing leadership, training and supervision over the Privacy Compliance Program; Implementing a specific consumer compliance program in accordance with the requirements of international market data privacy regimes; Working with the Business Teams in Corporate Compliance to assess the effectiveness of their privacy and cross-border data protection compliance programs; Providing information and recommendations relating to emerging privacy and cross-border data protection issues.
Must have, a minimum 8 years related experience, including, but not limited to;
The ability to interpret new laws and regulations and communicate that information to senior management and line personnel; the ability to be the compliance subject matter expert on large projects to support Business Area(s) needs ; The advanced ability to assess new product ideas and apply the appropriate privacy and cross-border data protection laws and regulations to accurately provide compliance advice and recommendations and the ability to create and maintain a culture of shared ownership and shared responsibility. JD or appropriate Masters degree required.
