The D. E. Shaw group, a global investment and technology development firm, seeks a highly motivated, detail-oriented purchasing generalist with technology and facilities-related purchasing experience. Responsibilities to include researching, ordering, scheduling, and receiving of equipment and software as specified by the IT & Facilities groups. Expertise in the development of RFP/RFIs and multi-source product procurement is a decided advantage. Must possess a thorough understanding of technology infrastructure and be able to communicate well with IT personnel. Furniture purchasing and AutoCAD experience also pluses.
