POSITION

As a Software Developer at Noobis, you will be involved in planning, researching, designing, coding, testing and deploying database-driven web-based applications or platforms that support our initiatives.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Meeting with management / colleagues to gather software requirements.
• Brainstorming on functional designs based on requirements.
• Building, changing & maintaining MySQL databases.
• Building, changing & maintaining PHP web applications.
• Thoroughly testing to ensure successful software deployment.
• 3-month commitment, with minimum of 8-10 hours per week.
• Specific internship positions may be available on a year-round basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be proficient with DBMS, specifically MySQL 4.0+.
• Must be proficient developing websites with PHP 4.0+
• Must have knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Must have experience with HTML/JavaScript/CSS.
• Visual creativity (graphics, layout, design) is a plus.
• Experience with web development technologies other than PHP/MySQL is a plus.
• Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) is a plus.
