Position: The Tokyo offices of two major international firms have retained us to locate candidates with 8+ years of experience in M&A, PE and/or capital markets for partner/counsel positions.
Company: Both a top UK firm and a top West Coast-based firm are seeking partners with the above experience. Both firms have excellent Asia platforms. The UK firm is on the IFLR shortlists for the "International Firm of the Year" as well as the Debt and Equity-Linked, Securitization, Equity, M&A, Project Finance and China Practice "Teams of the Year" in 2008. It was also the recipient of the ALB China Law Award as the "International Law Firm of the Year." The West Coast-based firm consistently ranks in the Top 25 of the AmLaw 100 rankings of US firms by revenue. Legal 500 ranks the firm among the leading practices in both Japan and China in 18 areas. Both firms have strong bengoshi teams and diversified platforms. The firms have significant PPP and offer both equity and non-equity partnership.
Requirements: Potential candidates must have at least one of the following: 1) extensive Japanese related experience; 2) $1.5 million+ book of portable business; and/or 3) Japanese language skills.
