Our client, one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies, seeks a hands-on litigator to join the in-house group of litigators within the Law Department. The Litigation Group functions as an in-house law firm; litigators draft motions, handle discovery requests and responses, and write appellate briefs; prepare witnesses; take and defend depositions; and argue motions and appeals, often without outside counsel or in "partnership" with outside counsel.
The group's practice includes a wide variety of matters for the Television Group and its affiliated entities, including its entertainment and news divisions, its production studios, its broadcast and cable networks and its owned and operated stations. The attorney will handle litigation relating to issues such as copyright, trademark, "idea theft," defamation, rights of privacy and publicity, contracts, employment and subpoenas.
Must be currently employed as a litigation attorney in a major law firm or corporate law department and have 4+ years experience litigating issues relating to entertainment law, intellectual property and employment law. JD, CA Bar and excellent academic credentials also required.
