Our client, a major Fortune 100 technology company, seeks an experienced I P litigation attorney to manage a litigation team consisting of inside attorneys, outside attorneys, paralegals, engineers and managers in the company's business unit. Candidate will be responsible for developing litigation strategy for complex commercial or intellectual property matters in conjunction with the company's business unit and other management in the Legal Department. Additional responsibilities will include managing (independently) all discovery efforts, directing depositions, outlining and developing briefs and oral arguments, preparing for trials, and generally providing overall guidance to, and closely working with, outside counsel.
Must have a JD, be currently working as a litigation attorney for a major law firm or corporation, be a member of the California State Bar, and have at least seven (7) year of experience in complex litigation and some patent litigation. Must be familiar with intellectual property laws and have legal experience dealing with complex intellectual property and commercial issues. Engineering degree, semiconductor experience, and experience in negotiation and drafting intellectual property agreements helpful.
