D.C. office of "Am Law 25" global law firm seeks ONE junior level regulatory associate with 1-3 years of natural gas pipeline experience. FERC experience is a plus. For several years this global firm's Energy Regulatory Group has been ranked in the top tier of the Chambers USA practice rankings for electricity. This firm's group also ranked in the top tier in oil and gas. They represent a wide array of clients in federal and state regulatory proceedings and matters, in areas such as utility mergers and acquisitions; organized markets; electric transmission; FERC enforcement and compliance; energy marketing and trading; and natural gas and LNG. They often play a lead role in complex FERC and state litigaion representing clients, and groups of clients, in cases that invlolve scores of parties and billions of dollars in dispute. These cased typically raise complex issues, requiring them to capture the nuances of sophisticated expert analysis in presenting their own case and in attacking the opposition, while highlighting themes that resonate with the decision-maker.
