Our client, a major Fortune 500 research-based company engaged in the discovery, development, manufacturing and marketing of pharmaceutical products worldwide, seeks an Environmental Attorney. The position will be located in the companyCBCBs world headquarters in NJ.
Must be currently employed as an environmental attorney in a major law firm or corporation and have 7+ years relevant experience in; Handling New Jersey environmental regulatory, permitting and enforcement matters (e.g., air and water pollution, hazardous and solid waste, ISRA, community right-to-know, etc.); Counseling clients on environmental, health and safety (e.g., OSHA, industrial hygiene, etc.) compliance matters under various state, federal and international laws ; Representing companies in environmental litigation (e.g., CERCLA, Spill Act, toxic tort, etc.) and related insurance coverage actions ; Performing due diligence on corporate and real estate transactions and providing related legal support; Drafting and negotiating real estate (e.g., commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, etc.) and commercial agreements (e.g., waste disposal and recycling agreements, vendor and consultant contracts, secrecy agreements, etc.); Preparing responses, notifications, and disclosures to SEC, EPA, OSHA, NRC, DOT, FAA, and state and foreign counterparts; Conducting environmental, health and safety compliance training and providing legal support to corporate support functions; Some experience handling NRC, DOT and FAA matters;. J.D., NJ Bar membership (or eligible for New Jersey In-House Counsel license) and excellent academic credentials also required. Compensation commensurate with experience.
