The San Francisco office manages a significant client base in the Pacific Northwest. This new role will further support the growth and development in this region. The new Consulting Manager dedicated to covering the region will play a key role in managing projects and implementing the firm's Pacific Northwest sales growth strategy. She/he will be initially based out of the San Francisco office reporting to the Vice President & Manager of the Region. The new Consulting Manager will spend approximately half their time in Seattle and half their time in San Francisco for the first six months. This will enable them to assimilate with the team in San Francisco while also developing client relationships in the Seattle market.
Responsibilities and competencies include:
- Work with colleagues to develop client strategies and support programs to accelerate profitable sales growth.
- Oversee completion of analytics and integrate with qualitative analysis to create compelling presentations with minimal direction.
- Appropriately create new frameworks in addition to leveraging existing models.
- Develop strong client relationships based on personal credibility and excellent judgment.
- Effectively manage projects resulting in client references and add-on business.
- Identify add-on selling opportunities and create business development proposals.
- Mentor new consultants and coach for improved competency.
- Cultivate on-going relationships with clients.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Advanced degree - post graduate/alumni. (MBA preferred)
- Demonstrated or perceived capacity to grow existing accounts and add new accounts.
- Demonstrated or perceived capacity to eventually relocate to Seattle to launch and run satellite office.
- Experience within a consulting firm and a solid track record of managing projects, developing high level relationships that have contributed to ongoing engagements, and working very effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, a variety of sales channels through channel management or consulting roles.
- Extensive business experience with significant management consulting as well as corporate experience in the customer facing functions (e.g., marketing management, sales & sales management, customer service, organizational sales re-engineering, etc.)
- Proven track record of exceptional project management experience, coupled with extensive client and project management experience.
- A passion for high quality work, a "love of consulting", and a genuine desire to progress more rapidly in the profession.
- Ability to travel.
