Toyl Events, Captivated Concepts & Cocoabrides.com has immediate openings for editorial, web, art & freelance photography interns to build and maintain online websites & publications for the young, hip, trendy woman, brides & vendors with features in entertainment, fashion, relationship, lifestyle and inspirational issues. This is a non-paid internship with an opportunity to write, gain excellent experience and contacts.
Interns become contributing members of our online editorial/production team. Responsibilities range from summarizing and categorizing Monitor articles to building Web pages. Interns must be comfortable with Web journalism and its tools is an absolute must. Opportunities exist for writing, background research and other assistance on group projects. Additional responsibilities include assisting editors with research and reporting, transcribing interviews, compiling clippings, working on editorial-related projects, as well as providing administrative support to the busy staff. You must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), be computer-savvy, have the ability to multitask, and be smart and motivated. The ideal candidate is an English or Journalism major, with prior internship or college-publication experience, but our internships are open to anyone with a passion for web design, content writing, events, brides & marketing.
