Our client, a Fortune 50 leader in the home financing and mortgage business, seeks a Corporate Securities Attorney for the Mortgage Securities Department to serve as legal counsel to negotiate, document and execute securities transactions and to provide general securities advice to internal clients on a broad range of legal matters related to the company as a business entity. The candidate will also be responsible for managing outside counsel.
Must be currently employed as a corporate securities attorney in a major law firm or corporate law department and have at lease 3-7 years relevant experience, especially drafting and negotiating transactional and securities disclosure documents. Must have strong client counseling skills, from both the legal and business perspectives, with the ability to differentiate between the two, as well as experience with market practice in securities and dealing with business clients independently. JD, State Bar and excellent academic credentials also required.
