RENOWNED LAW FIRM seeks 3-4 year associate attorney to join its land use group, with some prior experience in securing land use entitlements and/or land use litigation, including under CEQA. The position offers opportunities to participate in all aspects of entitlement processing, including compliance with CEQA, drafting and negotiating development agreements and obtaining agency approvals for landowners and developers of complex mixed use, housing and infrastructure projects. It also involves litigation of land/use environmental matters for both public agencies and private entities under CEQA, NEPA, the Endangered Species Act, and other state and federal statutes as well as counseling clients on compliance with those statutes and local government law. Familiarity with real estate transactional practice would be helpful, but is not required. (Bay Area; San Francisco, Walnut Creek, surrounding areas)

Requirements: CA Bar and strong academics required, big firm experience preferred.
