Experience Real Work as an Intern

5.0 of 5 stars

Chicago, IL | October 2015 | FORMER INTERN

Uppers

Embedded in projects as an analyst. Got to do real work and interact with high-level clients. Everyone is very easy going - people are willing to help and aren't ambitious to the detriment of others.

Downers

HR tries hard to force you to engage in cheesy activities (i.e. team building exercises, 3-day retreat). The team at Accenture isn't as rigorous or professional as some other firms.

Comments

Know that ACN focuses on tech and implementation projects. Don't expect high level strategy work. Most projects will be longer in duration due to the nature of the work.

Advice to Potential Interns

State projects (> 5 years old) are not the most accurate depiction of consultancy. Research the types of projects that are in your location before accepting your offer, and avoid state projects if you can for optimal exposure.
