Incredible co-workers who want to see you succeed.
2012 | VERIFIED INTERN

Uppers

The amount of value-added work that I was trusted with completing.

Downers

There was not much about the internship that I would consider a ''con.'' The hours could be very long at times, but the work was engaging and the compensation was great, so I rarely had an issue working long hours.

Advice to Potential Interns

Having a willingness to learn will take you far. As long as you have a positive attitude about laerning, you will get to experience working on some exciting transactions, and your colleagues will go out of their way to make sure you succeed.

Advice to Management

I experienced no issues with any of these areas of the business. All of my encounters with management were enjoyable, and I thought the company compensated well for the hours worked. It is also a very diverse company.

Hard work pays off.
2012 | VERIFIED INTERN

Uppers

The office culture and people that I worked with helped me learn an incredible amount in a short period of time. Additionally, I felt as though the work that I did, although difficult and at times tedious, had an influence and was meaningful to the people for whom I was doing it.

Downers

At times the hours were frustrating and it felt as though it could become slightly overwhelming, but that is part of the job and it needed to be done.

Advice to Potential Interns

In terms of the bulge bracket banks, I found that Credit Suisse has an exceptional workplace culture. The people are helping and genuine, and it is very much a team oriented environment.

Getting real responsibility that actually impacted the work that my group was doing was very cool. I also really liked the culture and people in my group, they were great resources to learn from and also awesome people to talk to and eat meals with

Downers

There is no work/life balance, but I knew that going into the internship/industry

Advice to Potential Interns

Be a sponge - take tons of notes and soak up as much knowledge as early as possible. The more quickly you can learn to walk the walk and talk the talk of a full-timer, the more quickly you will get real work and increase your chances of being able to showcase your skills to land a full-time offer.
