Best aspect was the rotational program and having the chance to experience all lines of work in public accounting.

Downers

Nothing it was super great and an awesome experience with rotations and events.

Advice to Potential Interns

We traveled all over the Bay Area which was cool, but unexpected because I didn't realize how big it is..

Advice to Management

Slower season in the summer, but not sure how to solve that in terms of giving work. Good mix of real work and added training though.

Learning and growing with Accounting in the Bay Area

4.8 of 5 stars

San Jose, CA | 2017 | VERIFIED INTERN

Uppers

Best aspects were that the firm took us out to explore the Bay Area and gave us a lot of learning opportunities.

Downers

The occasional downtime when there was no work to do.

Advice to Potential Interns

That there are three offices and although they aren't far in miles, the traffic makes it nearly impossible to get anywhere in a timely matter. You 100% need to have a car for this internship.

Advice to Management

Giving us better options for housing or providing extra compensation to help pay for rent.

Do you already know if you would rather do tax or audit?

Uppers

Weekly activities allowing you to meet and interact with associates and fellow interns outside of an office environment

Organization in scheduling

Advice to Potential Interns

The work you do is not as important (to an extent) as how you present yourself as an individual/how you fit into the firm and it's culture

Advice to Potential Interns

Be a sponge, you'll be exposed to so much that you'll struggle to retain it all.

Frank, Rimerman: The best palce to work.

5.0 of 5 stars

Palo Alto, CA | 2017 | VERIFIED INTERN

Uppers

The entire structure of the internship was amazing. I have never heard about any other firms that design their internship so interns can go through the different types of accounting departments.

Downers

There was nothing that I did not like about the internship! The commute was difficult but that's the price to pay living in the Bay Area/Silicon Valley.

Advice to Potential Interns

I would want a potential employer to know that there is a good balance of work and play at this firm.

Advice to Management

There is nothing that Frank, Rimerman needs to change to become a better place to work.

Becoming familiar with different departments

4.9 of 5 stars

San Francisco, CA | 2017 | VERIFIED INTERN

Uppers

I thought that the rotation was the best aspect of the internship. Everyone at the firm was very open and helpful with each task, and for the most part I always knew what I was supposed to be working on.

Downers

I thought that the training became a bit repetitive.

Advice to Potential Interns

I think that it would be important to know how important the rotation is. I think it is also important to know how the firm has very interesting smaller departments.
