About Artists Space

Artists Space has been a haven for cutting-edge contemporary visual artists since 1972, describing itself as "a center for new ideas in a radically changing world." It serves as a venue for artistic discussion and debate, as well as an exhibit space. The organization includes two locations--one of which houses a bookstore--and hosts various lectures, performances, and other events. In addition, Artists Space offers an arts education program for public school students in New York City.

Eligibility

Open to college juniors and seniors, recent graduates, graduate students, and PhD candidates. In addition to having an interest in and knowledge of contemporary art, applicants must be studying (or have studied) art, art history, curatorial studies, or humanities. Non-US citizens are eligible.
