Internship Program

Requirements

Interns must be U.S. citizens or be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
To express an interest, students must submit an on-line application at phicareers.com. Interns must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university.
Interns must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale and be in good standing with their academic institution (copy of transcripts are required prior to date of hire).
Interns must be able to pass a background check and medical screening.
A Parental Consent Form is required for Interns under the age of 18.

Guidelines

A standard internship will last 6-12 weeks.

The standard Internship will begin in May of each calendar year.

Recruiting for internships begins in January of each calendar year.

Interns will work full-time hours (40 hours weekly) during the summer.

Part-time hours during the spring/winter semesters are (10-15 hours weekly). Part-time internships are not guaranteed and require approval from the hiring manager.

The intern's field of study must be in alignment with the department; (except Life Guard and Assistant Pool Manager Positions).

An intern cannot displace a regular employee or be used in the place of a contractor. Interns are not guaranteed a full time position at the end of the internship.

Location - Washington, DC, Newark & Wilmington, Delaware, Salisbury, Maryland and Southern New Jersey (Mays Landing, Pleasantville and Glassboro)

Interns are paid an hourly rate.

Rates are determained by the level in school, i.e., sophomore, junior, etc.
