DISH is a Fortune 250 company with more than $14 billion in
annual revenue that continues to redefine the communications
industry. Our legacy is innovation and a willingness to
challenge the status quo, including reinventing ourselves. We
disrupted the pay-TV industry in the mid-90s with the launch of the
DISH satellite TV service, taking on some of the largest U.S.
corporations in the process, and grew to be the third-largest
pay-TV provider. We are doing it again with the launch of the
first live, internet-delivered TV Service - SlingTV, that bucks
traditional pay-TV norms and gives consumers a truly new way to
access and watch television.
Now we have our sights set on upending the wireless industry and
unseating the entrenched incumbent carriers.
We have a bold sense of pride, adventure, and desire to win -
it's in our DNA. And we're looking for people with boundless
energy, intelligence, and an overwhelming need to achieve to join
our team as we embark on the next chapter of our story.
Opportunity is here. We are DISH.
The Internship Experience
DISH's summer internship is a comprehensive program designed to
expose students to the media entertainment industry through a 10
week project assignment that is both relevant and impactful to our
current business initiatives. At the conclusion of the summer,
interns present the recommendations and findings of their project
to our Executive Team.
Highlights of the internship include:
- Ten-week competitively paid summer internship in Denver,
- Opportunity to earn a full time employment offer
- Executive exposure - brown-bag lunches, networking events
- Three-member support team consisting of a carefully selected
mentor, manager and executive sponsor
- In-depth look at our business, including 2-3 weeks with
customer facing exposure
- Fully furnished housing option
- Social activities including hiking a 14,000-ft mountain
The majority of the internship program is spent at our corporate
headquarters, just south of Denver, Colorado. We have more annual
days of sunshine than either San Diego or Miami Beach, and the
proximity to the Rocky Mountains allows for easy travel to the
mountains and ski resorts all year long.
