About American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society is one of the oldest and largest health agencies in the United States.  Headquartered in Atlanta, it has 13 regional chartered divisions, over 3,400 local offices and more than two million volunteers.  Since it began in 1913, ACS has chartered and maintained cancer prevention programs, as well as promoted early detection guidelines, research and treatments.

Interns gain hands-on experience in cancer control, income development, advocacy, marketing, communications, human resources, public health and law.  Interns also assist with ACS's Relay for Life fundraiser, held in about 3,000 communities around the country.

Open to college sophomores, juniors and seniors and graduate students who have a minimum GPA of 3.0.  Applicants should be strongly interested in pursuing a nonprofit career.
