An internship is an opportunity for New Jersey college students
to gain valuable exposure to the world of professional film and
television production. The internship program is sponsored by the
New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission, a state agency
within the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission.
An internship at the Executive Office of the New Jersey Motion
Picture and Television Commission. This internship can be either
full-time or part-time during the fall, spring or summer semesters,
depending on the needs and availability of the student. The duties
consist of general office work, assistance in filling specific
production requests, location researching and scouting. Interns
assigned to the Executive Office are given preference for
short-term location assignments with a film or television
company.

production companies. These internships occur regularly, but with
little prior notice. Their length and nature will vary according to
the needs of the producer and the availability of the student. The
work can consist of (but is not limited to) site surveys, liaison
with the Commission office, general assistance, etc.
The Commission internship is unsalaried, although job-related
expenses incurred will be reimbursed.
There is no set number of credits attached to an internship.
Credits to be granted will be determined by the college in which
you are enrolled and should be arranged by the faculty liaison for
your institution.
