About American University in Moscow

The American University in Moscow was founded in 1990 to strengthen fragile U.S.-Russian ties through education, and became the first private business school in Russia.  AUM offers hundreds of Russian graduate students the equivalent of an American MBA.  In 2002, AUM launched its graduate school, which offers master's programs and PhD studies in American-Russian relations.

Interns work in the school's D.C. or Moscow offices.  Interns are placed in different departments, including research, journalism and website support.  The internship provides practical work experience in journalism and foreign policy.  Internships in international journalism are a joint project with Moscow State University.
