About Protiviti U.S. Intern Program

Protiviti is a global consulting firm that helps companies solve problems in finance, technology, operations, governance, risk and internal audit, and has served more than 60 percent of Fortune 1000® and 35 percent of Fortune Global 500® companies. Protiviti and our independently owned Member Firms serve clients through a network of more than 70 locations in over 20 countries. We also work with smaller, growing companies, including those looking to go public, as well as with government agencies.

Protiviti's intern program is the backbone of our U.S. campus recruiting program, which actively seeks to recruit diverse highly qualified talent as part of Protiviti's commitment to being an employer of choice for all. We engage our interns in challenging work, introducing them to our strategy and culture with a goal of transitioning them into full-time hires at the conclusion of the program. Our strong intern program attracts top applicants which in turn helps to strengthen our brand in the marketplace.

Before our interns embark on their first engagements in their local offices, they attend 10 days of training together in Orlando, Florida. Here, not only do they attend initial orientation sessions, but also experience our unique learning and development program, known as The Intern Challenge. During this specially-developed program interns work together in a case-based learning environment, walking through the stages of a client engagement, interacting with Protiviti executives and participating in team-building events.

We ensure that our interns are exposed to meaningful and challenging project work during their internships. Over the course of the eight-week program, all interns spend time on at least two different client engagements, in the role of an entry-level consultant. During this realistic career preview, they interact with our project teams to help solve critical business problems for our clients, while building their professional and consulting skills.

Protiviti's internship is a paid program: interns are compensated by the hour and are eligible to receive time-and-a-half for overtime hours. In addition, interns are eligible for our 401(k) program to begin saving for the future, and can take advantage of our parent company's dollar-for-dollar matching gift program for charitable giving and time spent volunteering. Perks include various branded gift items, and many meals and other networking events that we organize throughout the summer. Each year our interns participate in a day focused on giving back to the community, through our annual U.S. Intern Day of Service. In 2017, more than 1,600 community service hours were completed.

We believe strongly in the value of mentoring, so we ensure that each intern has three levels of assigned advisors to help him/her get the most out of the program: an executive advisor from our leadership team; a career advisor from the management team; and a peer advisor (first-year consultant) at the entry level. This mentoring network gives the intern support before they begin, throughout the internship and beyond.

We also rally our workforce around the intern program. Every summer, hundreds of individuals at all levels of our practice contribute to the program, acting as intern advisors, project managers, training facilitators and activity planners. Through our employees' enthusiasm, the interns are able to see the passion that our people have for working at Protiviti.
